FEX21 Franchise Expo Hybrid Frankfurt Steiner Fleischanderl Felzmann

The Austrian Franchise Exhibition and Franchise Expo Frankfurt join forces to form FEX21; the largest franchise expo in the German-speaking region

Extraordinary times require extraordinary measures. For this reason, the Austrian Franchise Fair and the German Franchise Expo Frankfurt are pooling their forces for the first time and are organizing the only and largest Franchise Expo (FEX21) in the German-speaking region in cooperation with the Austrian and the German Franchise Associations. Other European Associations also support the Expo.

FEX21 will take place as a hybrid event, both online and on-site, from 4th to 6th November 2021.
By doing so, the Expo can guarantee one hundred percent that the show will go on!

The organisers of both exhibitions have always endeavored to create a unique meeting point for the entire franchise scene where exhibitors and visitors can meet. That was proved at the last physical show in 2019, when 150 international brands were present on the showfloor and around 3000 attendees from 54 countries were attracted to this marketplace and followed the event’s programme. In 2020, the expo took place as an online edition only.

This year, the host of the show, the US company MFV Expositions / Comexposium, plans a hybrid version. The combination of an on-site and an online expo ensures event security as well as various opportunities for participation for everyone involved.

We know that these are special and challenging times for everyone. We’ve had to adjust to online only events with the Austrian franchise fair in June 2020 and the Franchise Expo Frankfurt in November 2020. However, now we are already looking forward to the hybrid edition this year and to meet again in person in Frankfurt while complying with the all the regulations valid in November 2021.
- Carina Felzmann, organiser of the Austrian Franchise Fair and Show Director of the German Franchise Expo, from MFV Expositions / Comexposium.

In these extraordinary times, the franchise industry has moved closer together and is constantly adapting.

"The franchise scene is very diverse and extends across all industries. A high degree of innovation and a partnership on equal terms within the systems is not only evident in times of crisis but has gained even more importance. We are so pleased that the merger of the Austrian franchise fair with the Franchise Expo Frankfurt to form the biggest event for the franchise industry on the German-speaking market is taking place and that the hybrid concept will bring certainty and a way forward."
- Barbara Steiner, General Secretary of the Austrian Franchise Association.

"I will support the FEX21 with enthusiasm. We are a rather young franchise system. For us the franchise expo in Frankfurt is a perfect way to boost our brand awareness. We are looking forward to the exchange with established franchise systems from different countries. Together with the Austrian Franchise Association we will do our best to attract many Austrian systems.”
