Between September 28 and 30 2020, SIAL China, an influential food innovation fair of Comexposium in the Asia-Pacific region was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), with an exhibition area of 100,000 square meters, and over 200,000 exhibits from more than 2,200 exhibitors, attracted more than 100,000 visitors came onsite. According to Ms. Elaine CHIA, Asia-Pacific CEO of Comexposium, in view of the current international political and economic situation, the Chinese government made a decision to introduce a "dual circulation" development pattern in which the domestic economic cycle plays a leading role while the international cycle remains its extension and supplement. The 20-year-old SIAL China will become an opportunity for the food and beverage industry to build a "dual circulation" pattern during the pandemic. Comexposium will continue to take innovative measures to amplify the spillover effect of SIAL China, facilitating both face-to-face and online business communication for win-win results in the food and beverage industry of China and the world at large.

Since China restarted the convention and exhibition market in June this year, Comexposium has successively held such events as Interfiliere Shenzhen, China National Food ExpoJinan, China (Nanjing) International Wine & Food Fair, and China Stationery Fair (CSF).

As Ms. Chia commented, 2020 is a challenging year for everyone, of which the exhibition industry bears the brunt. The events of Comexposium in China could not be restarted successfully without the efforts made by our teams in Shanghai, Beijing, Nanjing, Zhuhai, Jinan and Hefei. In the face of the pandemic, each team has been working diligently in their positions and striving for progress. Looking forward, Comexposium China will hold the RemaxWorld Expo-the world’s largest trade show for home and office printers, copiers and supplies in Zhuhai. China (Nanjing) International Wine & Food Fair, and China (Anhui) International Wine & Food Fair in November and the China Hotpot Industry Chain Expo and 7th Qilu Hotpot Festival in December.
