By bringing together communities in the same space and the same time frame, our events make it possible to pool meetings and avoid the impact of isolated trips. However, our environmental impact remains significant. This is why we strive to reduce it by working with the players in our ecosystem (decorators, caterers, equipment manufacturers, exhibition centers, etc.) and by taking into account the constraints of the places and territories in which we operate.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\n\n\n<div style=\"height:41px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n\t\n<div class=\"accordeon-and-image container not-right-image\">\n\t\t<div class=\"accordeon\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordeon-box\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" class=\"title-c is-active\" aria-expanded=\"true\" aria-controls=\"accordion-content-1\" >\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span aria-label=\"Close accordion\"><i><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3>Optimize the environmental impact of our events<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"text-c\" style=\"display: block;\" id=\"accordion-content-1\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our events are designed according to the <strong>4R logic<\/strong> (refuse\/reduce\/reuse\/recycle) leading us to make decisions that limit their impact; such as the reduction or removal of carpets in common areas.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We also work to <strong>consolidate<\/strong> scenography and decorative setups whenever possible; prioritize reusable, non-dated signage from one edition to the next; and minimize the printing of visitor guides.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For certain events, we follow a <strong>benchmark of CSR commitments.<\/strong> This framework can be co-constructed with our partners and give rise to a tailor-made <strong>charter of commitments<\/strong>, as on INTERMAT or One to One B.Better, or resulting from a <strong>labeling process<\/strong>. Since 2023, the Group has certified four <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LEAD events (Label Event with Sustainable Ambition) including the first one-to-one event labeled LEAD in France.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each event having its own specifics, we also adapt our approach to each show. For example, at Wine Paris, Vinexposium has implemented an effective <strong>action plan<\/strong>:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">+100,000 glass bottles collected and cleaned<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">+18,000 liters of alcoholic beverages distilled into biofuel<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">+35,000 corks collected, transformed into Insulation materials<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Upcycling of residual PVC, carpet and plywood banner surfaces.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are also committed to fighting<strong>\u00a0food waste<\/strong>. The voluntary contribution points for exhibitors at the Foire de Paris\u00a0 or donations to the Food Bank at the Salon de l&#8217;Agricultural demonstrate this commitment.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">In 2022, Comexposium committed to the <strong>\u201cNet Zero Carbon Events 2050\u201d<\/strong> initiative, an international effort led by UFI (Global Association of the Exhibition Industry) and supported by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. This initiative aims to bring together all stakeholders in the events sector around a common goal: reduce the overall carbon footprint of events and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Within this framework, Comexposium has launched a <strong>process to estimate the carbon footprint<\/strong> of its events also including visitor travel and exhibitor setups.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">As part of a<strong> continuous improvement approach<\/strong>, and based on initial findings from these carbon assessments, Comexposium defines reduction actions.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">At trade shows, where indirect emissions from participants and exhibitors account for 70 to 90% of carbon emissions, Comexposium conducts <strong>awareness-raising activities<\/strong> among the various stakeholders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" class=\"title-c \"  aria-controls=\"accordion-content-2\" >\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span aria-label=\"Open accordion\"><i><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3>Ensuring inclusion, accessibility, and safety at our events<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"text-c\" style=\"\" id=\"accordion-content-2\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul>\n<li>We <strong>facilitate accessibility for people with disabilities<\/strong> by carefully selecting adapted and accessible venues and exhibition centers. Additionally, we implement complementary measures such as wheelchair loans, dedicated assistance, and, at certain events, free admission for people with disabilities.<\/li>\n<li>Depending on each event\u2019s objectives, we also support <strong>charitable initiatives<\/strong> like \u201cLa Croix Rouge\u201d at SIAL or \u201cM\u00e9c\u00e9nat Chirurgie Cardiaque\u201d at the Salon Mondial du Chocolat et de la P\u00e2tisserie.<\/li>\n<li>Accessibility also means p<strong>romoting access to our events for job seekers<\/strong>. At several trade shows, Comexposium applies tailored pricing policies for students and offers dedicated visits in partnership with specialized schools.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Safety and security are<\/strong> <strong>core priorities<\/strong> within our CSR policy. Comexposium continuously raises awareness among its employees and service providers on these issues, especially during<strong> pre-event briefing meetings<\/strong>. During setup and dismantling phases, t<strong>he Group ensures compliance with the use of personal protective equipment and nominative identification badges<\/strong>. Random checks may also be conducted among service providers selected for their commitments and the quality of their safety policies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" class=\"title-c \"  aria-controls=\"accordion-content-3\" >\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span aria-label=\"Open accordion\"><i><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3>Encouraging our exhibitors and visitors to engage in CSR practices at our events<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"text-c\" style=\"\" id=\"accordion-content-3\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul>\n<li>For both visitors and exhibitors, Comexposium has implemented <strong>eco-friendly actions<\/strong> that promote best practices for responsible event participation.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Customer surveys<\/strong> may also include questions to assess visitors\u2019 awareness and needs regarding CSR, as well as to contribute to estimating the carbon footprint.<\/li>\n<li>Regarding exhibitors, Comexposium encourages the use of equipped stands, which have a lower carbon footprint than bare stands. The Group has designed its own equipped stand, the \u201c<strong>Comexposium stand designed by Marcelo Joulia<\/strong>.\u201d Developed with sustainability in mind, this stand emits 25% less carbon than an equipped stand with brushed cotton and 40% less than an entry-level bare stand.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" class=\"title-c \"  aria-controls=\"accordion-content-4\" >\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span aria-label=\"Open accordion\"><i><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3>Sharing responsible and ethical practices across our value chain<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"text-c\" style=\"\" id=\"accordion-content-4\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Comexposium is committed to fostering a culture of responsibility throughout its entire value chain.
