The 2025 edition of Solutrans, the Global Hub for Heavy & Light Commercial Vehicles, concluded on a unanimous verdict: the show has confirmed its status as the must-attend gathering for the entire European road transport industry (heavy-duty vehicle and LCV manufacturers, OEMs, body builders, energy suppliers, tyre manufacturers, cargo bikes and services).<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\n\n\n

Solutrans, more than ever the European gathering of the Transport industry<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 2025 edition of Solutrans confirmed the show\u2019s central status as the point of convergence of all European transport players (manufacturers, equipment suppliers, shippers, operators, economic bodies and trade associations). This dynamic was corroborated once again by the attendance of a very high foreign visitor contingent. With 30% of exhibitors hailing from 21 foreign countries, and 25% of its visitors from close to 100 countries, Solutrans demonstrated its international reach with countries such as Italy, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland and T\u00fcrkiye leading the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unanimous satisfaction among exhibitors and exceptional footfall<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Exhibitors were unanimous in their praise for a particularly well organised edition of the show. All of them welcomed the growing number of highly qualified visitors who generated business and orders. The remarkable number of attendees also impressed: the density of visitor footfall in the aisles made it difficult at times to move freely around certain parts of the show. HGV and LCV manufacturers in particular noted particularly brisk business, with some not hesitating to qualify this edition as,\u2018exceptional\u2019. Consequently, despite an uncertain economic environment, the volume of orders registered provided confirmation of the show\u2019s commercial appeal.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Finally, the exhibitors\u2019 unprecedented efforts to appeal to their visitors did not go unnoticed. With spectacular stands, even more special events and features, and immersive initiatives, they demonstrated their confidence in the trade show\u2019s potential and in its structural role for the whole industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The statistics showed that the exhibition is continuing to gain in momentum :<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • 64,000 professional admissions recorded, of which 25% from outside France, from close to 100

    Once again, Solutrans shone a light on the industry\u2019s innovations through the multiple world previews
    presented on stands and the awards made during the show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The industry awards International Truck of the Year 2025<\/strong>, Truck Innovation Award 2025, International
    Van of the Year 2025<\/strong> andPick-up Award 2025<\/strong> were presented respectively to the vehicles DAF XD and
    XF Electric, BOSCH Cloud, KIA PV5 and FORD Ranger PHEV<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Finally, the \u201cIndustry Personality of the Year Award<\/strong>\u201d created at the behest of the FFC was presented to
    Beno\u00eet Tanguy, chairman of the CSIAM commercial vehicles branch, at the show\u2019s gala dinner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    A convivial show with an array of highlights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    To mark the 180th anniversary of the FFC, SOLUTRANS pulled out all the stops to once again bring industry stakeholders together around convivial events allowing people to meet up and socialise.
    The first Night<\/strong> Session <\/strong>in the history of SOLUTRANS, with the doors staying open exceptionally until 10 pm on Thursday evening, met with an enthusiastic response. In a festive atmosphere, the exhibitors laid on a multitude of special events, reinforcing their conviviality and proximity with their clients and partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The gala dinner<\/strong>, combining business and conviviality, welcomed more than 1,300 guests. Opening the evening, Patrick Cholton, the Chairman of Solutrans, delivered a welcome address with political undertones, criticising the total absence of government officials during the preparation, inauguration, or the five days of the show. \u201cIt is unacceptable that no politicians have made the trip to Lyon to represent the government. It shows a lack of respect for our professionals and for Europe\u2019s largest industry gathering,\u201d he concluded to the applause of attendees.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Solutrans, dedicated to the future of the industry<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Solutrans also doubled down on its commitment to the future of the road transport industry by welcoming, over the five days of the show, 3,000 students including 500 Year 9 and 10 secondary school pupils. The goal was to give all of them \u2013 and particularly the young people currently deciding upon their academic and professional futures \u2013 a glimpse of the industry\u2019s (often little-known) professions along with the many educational opportunities open to them. This initiative fulfils the voiced expectations of exhibitors, in particular vehicle manufacturers, who are hoping to find a pool of future talent in the younger generation. The students went away with a new and enhanced perspective of an innovative, dynamic and promising sector thanks to an informative, immersive and entertaining experience at the show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Packed talks and a highly popular Agora<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The new Agora and its open spaces at the heart of the show were an immediate hit with visitors. The fifteen talks and panel discussions organised were attended by close to 2,000 people. These exceptional numbers reflect the need for information, education and insights as expressed by professionals. Solutrans thus stands out as an event for the collective elevation of knowledge for the benefit of the entire sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Solutrans 2025 will be remembered as an edition marked by energy, dedication and collective confidence. The exhibitors, visitors and partners demonstrated a shared ambition: to build the future of
