Comexposium, the France-headquartered international event organizer operating more than 400 B2B and B2C events, has appointed industry veteran Sajid Desai as President & Country Head – India. The appointment signals the Group’s strategic expansion in one of the fastest-growing global trade and consumption markets.
Sajid brings more than three decades of international leadership experience across events, exhibitions, media, and digital platforms. Over his career, he has held senior leadership positions with RX Global, Informa Markets, UBM, Dmg events, Nürnberg Messe, and the Indian Express Group, where he led market expansion, strategic partnerships, portfolio growth, and the launch of large-scale international trade platforms across multiple industry sectors.
India’s projected rise to the world’s third-largest economy, supported by sustained GDP growth, infrastructure investment, manufacturing initiatives, and digital financial inclusion, is creating significant opportunities for global and domestic businesses. Business events and exhibitions play a critical role in this ecosystem by enabling trade partnerships, investments, technology adoption, and export market access for companies.
In India, Comexposium will strengthen its domestic portfolio across key sectors—including marketing, retail, digital, food & beverage, security, and construction—through established brands such as ad:tech, iMedia, and Retail Connect, operated wholly by Comexposium India. The Group will also continue to expand its global brands, including SIAL, Vinexpo, Milipol, and Intermat, working in partnership with Inter Ads Exhibitions Pvt.Ltd to scale these platforms as it progressively introduces new brands as part of its long-term growth strategy.
These platforms will enable Indian companies to access international markets through participation in its worldwide portfolio, thereby supporting export growth and global market access.
