CSR has become a major issue for the growth and sustainability of businesses. With an audience of 4 million visitors and 48,000 exhibitors annually, Comexposium has the responsibility to raise awareness and support its communities on the environmental, economic and social issues specific to their respective sectors.

Contributing to the economic and social performance of our communities

  • The purpose of a business event, whatever its format, is to contribute to the economic development of businesses by bringing together buyers and solution providers. Trade shows, congresses, one-to-one meetings, are all formats that enhance to the attractiveness of a company, a start-up, or an artisan.
  • Trade show offer all exhibiting partners visibility and notoriety; business opportunities and growth potential.
  • Through its events, Comexposium helps strengthen the appeal of key sectors for the economy. While trade shows provide media and institutional exposure to sector organizations and federations, they primarily allow them to collectively address crucial challenges for their transformation by promoting best practices and innovations.
  • To support the long-term economic dynamism of its communities, Comexposium continuously monitors trends and engages in foresight. Our ambition is to highlight innovations and solution providers capable of accelerating their growth and transformation
  • At these events, Comexposium contributes to the creation and maintenance of jobs within the sectors by developing  training and recruitment spaces.
  • Through its subsidiary L’Etudiant, a leading training and orientation media outlet, Comexposium actively contributes to the development of employment and the promotion of professions and know-how throughout France.
  • Finally, by operating events in 70 cities around the world on more than 400 dates per year, Comexposium contributes to the economic and social attractiveness of territories. Our events drive business tourism and generate significant economic benefits for cities such as Paris, Monaco, Singapore, etc.

Supporting the sustainable transformation of our partner sectors

  • In all our events, we consider the CSR challenges of the sectors we serve right from the design phase. When appropriate, we establish CSR Committees composed of industry experts to provide solutions, as seen with INTERMAT PARIS 2024 and SILMO PARIS, which are respectively committed to the decarbonization of the construction materials industry and the sustainable development challenges in the optics and eyewear sector. This reflection often results in the creation of a CSR commitment charter, as demonstrated by events like INTERMAT, SIAL, and One to One B.Better.
    • For the first time, the five main professional construction federations came together at INTERMAT 2024 to launch the manifesto “The 4 Keys to Support the Decarbonization of Construction Equipment,” collectively committing the sector to reduce greenhouse gas emissions on construction sites
  • Comexposium also ensures in its content programming to integrate conferences, podcasts, interventions on sustainable transformation issues specific to each industry, as evidenced by the following examples:
    • SILMO’s CSR chronicles
    • Conferences on new modes of transport and urban mobility at Solutrans
    • The BFM Business panel on decarbonization topics in construction at INTERMAT
    • Conferences and masterclasses on new operating methods at Wine Paris…

Fostering the dynamism and innovation of territories

  • To support the long-term economic vitality of its communities, Comexposium continuously monitors trends and engages in forward-looking analysis. Our goal: to highlight innovations and solution providers capable of accelerating growth and transformation
  • Innovation takes center stage through conferences, awards, and dedicated startup villages.
    • SILMO has been a key player in optical innovation for 60 years. Within its “Futurology” space, professionals discover and test the latest inventions, including AI-powered technologies that revolutionize traditional vision tests, scanners providing precise measurements for optimal customization, and real-time 3D printing solutions.
    • Comexposium One to One offers a tailored portfolio of events combining business meetings with a premium client experience. Each One to One event is designed to address the specific challenges of its community, promoting innovative solutions aligned with sector needs such as digital transformation and cybersecurity or responsible transformation.
  • Comexposium plays a vital role in showcasing regional know-how by highlighting talents, innovations, and skills from each area. Through its events, the Group supports local companies and creates opportunities for them to shine on the international stage.
  • Worldwide, our events celebrate products and expertise unique to specific regions or localities. Collaborating closely with regional, national institutions and embassy networks, our fairs spotlight regional wealth and contribute to the global recognition of cultural heritage.
  • Whether in crafts, gastronomy, wine, or tourism, our events provide prestigious platforms that enhance traditions for both the general public and professionals, in France and internationally. Events such as Gourmet Sélection, Cheese and Dairy Product Fairs, Tourism Shows, and those organized by the SIAL or Vinexposium networks gather the professions that build the reputation of local terroirs through regional or national pavilions. These events enable producers and territories to showcase their appellations, specialties, and traditions.

Offering new services or events related to sustainability challenges

  • At the heart of Comexposium Group’s strategy, CSR is a growth driver for our events, which must integrate this theme into their offerings.
  • Some group events offer spaces dedicated to providers of responsible solutions or services. Who’s Next, the fashion show, has hosted a segment dedicated to responsible fashion, entitled Impact, for which exhibitors must meet specific criteria
  • Others highlight the initiatives of committed exhibitors through “Awards” such as SILMO with the Committed Exhibitor Prize, Intermat with that of the most responsible stand or NRF Retail’s Big Show Europe with the CSR Innovation Prize.
  • Comexposium also launches new events dedicated to CSR challenges, such as Building Green in Copenhagen in 2023 and One to One B.Better, a business meeting event aimed at CSR decision-makers and professionals.
By bringing into contact a group of experts, we champion the adoption of innovative solutions that empower businesses to transition towards a more responsible and sustainable economy.
