Every event concentrates a wide range of human and material resources in a single place over a short period of time. In light of these circumstances, Comexposium has committed to addressing the critical challenge of balancing immediate priorities with long-term sustainability. To meet it, the Group takes action at every stage of its operations, from design to dismantling, to reduce the environmental impact of its activities. For this reason, Comexposium draws on the 5R principle and continuously experiments with new resources. The Group’s strategy centres on an ambitious decarbonisation trajectory, aligned with its commitment to the UFI’s Net Zero Carbon Events initiative through to 2050. By signing up to more initiatives and collaboratively developing solutions with its stakeholders, Comexposium champions sustainable practices throughout its entire value chain.

#5 Reduce the carbon footprint of our operations

Reducing Comexposium’s carbon footprint is a priority. This commitment is based on rigorously measuring direct and indirect emissions generated by all our activities. By analysing this data in depth, we can define a realistic, proactive roadmap to carbon reduction, reflecting the Group’s determination to lead and inspire a more responsible events sector.

  • Strengthen the reliability of our carbon footprint calculation methodology
  • Define and steer a reduction pathway aligned with
UFI’s Net Zero Carbon Events initiative
  • Implement concrete, measurable and replicable actions

#6 Design our events according to circular economy principles

Each event provides an opportunity for Comexposium to update its practices and gain a fuller understanding of its environmental impact, in line with its commitments. Drawing on both proven principles of action and the embracing of new ideas, Comexposium’s teams apply circular economy principles throughout the entire event lifecycle, starting with the design process. This dedication to continuous improvement delivers tangible results, actively implemented across the Group and influencing the broader event ecosystem.

  • Integrate the 5R method across all our activities: Rethink, Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
  • Co-create with committed stakeholders

#7 Engage our partners and participants in responsible practices

Comexposium’s impact goes beyond the activities under its direct control. It also encompasses its value chain, where the Group assumes both an influential and strategic role. Through dedicated resources, awareness-raising tools and ongoing dialogue, Comexposium invites all its stakeholders (exhibitors, visitors, service providers, partners) to adopt more virtuous practices. By uniting its entire ecosystem, Comexposium amplifies the reach of its positive influence.

  • Promote responsible participation in our events among visitors and exhibitors
  • Raise awareness among our stakeholders about sustainable practices
  • Work with partners and suppliers committed to responsible business practices
We adopt a co-creation approach with our suppliers. We work with many professionals in the event industry, whose job is to adapt to new challenges. By comparing our ideas, technical constraints, business logic and CSR ambitions, we foster shared learning and growth.
